
People love the Rolleiflex. It's timeless and tireless. You can pick one up that's been sitting unused for decades and it will probably still work. You can buy a haggard example on ebay and it will at least somewhat work. Don't try the slow shutter speeds though. You don't need 1 or 2 second exposures, anyway.
People see it and they smile. You never need to ask permission to take someone's photo. They see it and they see a friendly old man who is still going, doing things his way.
