It's not Oktoberfest, which, depending on who you ask, is a good thing. Fewer tourists. This is Stuttgart's Frülingsfest, a rite of Spring.
Outside the beer tents, a grand carnival carries on and families enjoy all thing things you would expect in a county fair in the U.S. Inside the beer tents, the Germans go hard until it all becomes a blur of checked shirts, dirndls, lederhosen, Schlager musik, and beer. Lots of beer. That being said, please excuse the focus on some of these photos.
